A "not-too-technical" lecture on the basic properties of Radiological/Nuclear hazards. This lecture will conclude with a brief showcase of radiation detection equipment and capabilities. As a bonus, the lecture will also review the role and responsibilities of public health in a Nuclear/Radiological Incident.
This course is designed to serve as a great introduction for those with no prior CBRN knowledge/experience, or a solid refresher on related topics for anyone with a role in CBRN response planning. It is recommended for those with no prior knowledge to start with the Introduction to CBRN course (DPH-186).
