Event Description

Critical Incident Stress Management: Peer (DPH-126-2)

When a critical Incident occurs, no one can be sure how they will react and to what extent such an incident will affect them. Crisis intervention is NOT psychotherapy; rather it is a specialized acute emergency mental health intervention which requires specialized training. Crisis interventions are typically done individually (one-on-one) or in groups. This 3 day program is designed to teach participants the fundamentals of, and a specific protocol for, individual intervention.
