Description: To date, over 10,000 incidents have been reportedly caused by Lithium-Ion battery failure. These incidents have resulted in millions of dollars in  damages and risks the safety of the citizens in our communities. With the increased use of Li-ION batteries, these incidents are increasing exponentially, year after year. Join your community in increasing your awareness of the risks posed by Lithium-ION batteries, and proactive steps that can be taken to prevent a Lithium-ION incident within your home, school, workplace, or community.

  • Basic overview of Li-ION batteries
  • Proper use, storage, and selection of Li-ION powered devices
  • Available resources/tactics to protect yourself against Li-ION incidents
