The purpose of course PER-348, Response to a Radiological Dispersal Device (RDD) - Overview and Implementation of the First 100 Minutes Guidance, is to provide response-level training to those participants who, in the performance of their normal duties, could encounter a radiological/nuclear incident.
The participant will also be provided information on working in a radiological environment in the safest manner possible. It will be accomplished by explaining radiation detection methods, protective actions, and how to decontaminate based on the type of contamination experienced.
