The GA Department of Health Hospital Decontamination Train the Trainer program is a 3-day course that provides students with the tools necessary to teach the decontamination class throughout the state. Day 1 is a split program with both classroom and hands-on time. Day 2 will consist of a short classroom session followed by a ¾ day field response. Day 3 will provide participants with the skills necessary to understand the differences between delivery methods. Participants are required to bring spare dry clothes and towels for Day 2 to allow for all to participate in deconning as a provider and also patient.
NOTE: All participants are required to bring a Level C suit and PAPR for use during the training. Instructors will be working with individuals using their facility equipment to allow for better understanding of the equipment.
