Local EOC Concepts & Operations (GA-368-8)

The local EOC Concepts and Operations course offed by GEMA/HS is a course designed to meet the needs of any local jurisdiction for Emergency Operations Center (EOC) operations. This course is flexible, in being able to fit any size jurisdiction and EOC footprint.  This course can help a jurisdiction that is just trying to get their EOC up and running or a jurisdiction that wants to improve their current EOC operations.  

Some of the items covered in this course are: 

  1. Who should serve in your EOC 

  1. Modes of operations in EOC 

  1. Operational options used by different operating EOCs today 

  1. Identifying what works best for jurisdiction 

  1. Information sharing during Emergency/Disaster operations 

  1. EOC document requirements during declared disasters 

The course ends with an exercise of your local EOC operations during a severe weather event.
